Land of the Leaders E.T. Challenge rules and information

The Land of the Leaders E.T. Challenge will consist of a four-race series to be held at each NHRA Northwest Division member track. Racers will compete at their local track (one track only) and will not be required to travel. Each contestant will be required to be registered for track points and have an NHRA competition number. Champions will be crowned in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Snow/Bike. Each category champion will receive a champion jacket and Wally no Gold Card). Other prizes may be awarded.

 

Program Guidelines

Four-race series to be held at each member track on dates specified by the member track between April 1 and Aug. 24,2003.

Dates must be submitted to the Northwest Division office no later than March 1, 2003. Series dates must be concluded by Aug. 24, 2003.

Race results (round results to verify car count, rounds won, and issue points) must be sent (by mail or fax by track) to the Northwest Division office within two (2) weeks of completion of event with all results due no later than Aug. 29, 2003.

 

Four (4) classes of competition: Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, and Snow/Bike. Racer must be registered for track points program and have a current NHRA competition number in the E.T. category. Racer may compete for this program at more than one member track, but each track points total will be separate (points cannot transfer from track to track).

 

Points will be awarded by the Northwest Division office as follows: win - 85 points, runner up - 64 points, semifinalist - 43 points, quarterfinalist - 32 points.

 

Seventeen (17) car minimum field size (five rounds), per category, to be eligible for full points. Nine (9) car minimum (four rounds) will receive win, runner-up, and semi points only. Eight (8) cars or fewer (three or fewer rounds) will receive win and runner-up points only.

 

In the event of a tie, the procedure to break tie will be: 1) Driver with most rounds won at scored events, 2) Tied competitors will face off at the Northwest Division Summit Racing Series Finals with winner being crowned the 2003 Land of the Leaders E.T. Challenge champion. Points will be kept solely by, and at the discretion of, the Northwest Division office.
