The points will be awarded in the following manner.

ENTRY 1 POINT - POINTS PER ROUND WON 1 POINT - POINTS FOR WIN 2

Example: if a racer should win a 4 round race, the driver would receive the following points,

ENTRY 1 POINT = 4 ROUNDS WON 4 POINTS + WINNER OF CLASS 2 POINTS + TOTAL 7 POINTS

SUMMIT ET RACING SERIES - NHRA JR DRAG RACING SERIES - NHRA STREET LEGAL SERIES

• Entry is defined as paying to compete, the driver is present, and the vehicle passes tech.

• Points cannot be transferred from class to class, points will be earned only for the class registered.

• There will be NO team racing in any classes.

• If you break before the first round of eliminations, you must notify the tower, in writing, before you leave the facility. If you fail to do so you will lose your Entry points for the night.

• Points will be calculated by our Compulink Timing System. It is ultimately the competitors responsibility to insure the accuracy of all points that are listed.

• Competitors may at any time request in writing an audit of their points.

• New. 2004 Competitors (2) two of your lowest scoring race will be taken away from points total (Jr. Dragsters (1) one).

• Competitors must purchase a permanent NHRA Competition Number before team race.

• To be eligible for yearend payouts you must be signed up for appropriate points series, and have a registered number.

• Tie’s will be settled with a run off.
• Points go toward track championship, and team formation.
• If you race for another team you forfeit track championship.
• Team formation will began in early Aug. It is up to you the racer to tell the Track Manager of your intent in person or by phone (503) 626-0579

JR DRAG RACING LEAGUE SERIES will officially begin April 7, 2004 and officially end Aug.18, 2004. In the event of a rain out or a cancellation, the points event will not be rescheduled.

The PIRD LATE NIGHT STREET LEGAL SERIES will officially begin April 9, 2004 and officially end Oct. 30, 2004.

Enter points before July 21, 2004 in tower before 1^st round.

All ties that effect the team will be determined on or before Aug. 18, 2004

TEAM POINTS START 3/21/04 – END 8/18/04 Jr. DRAGSTER POINTS START 4/7/04 – END 8/18/04

1. Drivers and vehicles must meet all NHRA standard rules.
2. You must be a member of PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY point’s program to earn points.
3. During elimination’s you must dial within a tenth of your class breaks.
4. The PIR points season will begin March 21, 2004 and end Aug. 18, 2004.
5. Enrollment for the 2004 Points Program is done in the tower at a cost of $15 per driver (class).
6. Drivers are advised to purchase a NHRA Competition Number and NHRA membership. If a driver chooses not to become a NHRA member, PIR will assign the driver a permanent track number.
7. All car numbers, whether NHRA or PIR, shall be permanently displayed on the drivers side of the car (legibly) in order to be easily read by the tower crew.
8. A driver may not drive more than one (1) car in the same eliminator.
9. Transbrakes are only allowed in Super Pro, and Pro classes.
10. Mufflers are required max 103db @ 50ft.
