NEW FOR 2002

Coming out this season for Wednesday night competition is the (Stars Cabaret sponsored) way cool 'Cuda of Bill Bityk.

Taking a large step up from last year, check out Jim Bradford's new roadster. Of course goin' fast is nothing new to Jim! Although no word yet on which bracket Jim and Julie are planning on running it in, you can count on last years number two in points Sportsman racer to be a threat!

Above is Gene Heaton's new Brogie roadster. Purchased as just a body and chassis over a year ago, with the help of his dad, Tom Horsley and David Chun, jr., Gene hopes it will be ready to go by the Winter Classic. The 355" SBC is equipped with AFR heads, 13:1 pistons, a 950 Holley carb and a dry sump oiling system. Lookin' good Gene!

Bob Brown, with the help of son in law Andy Schultz (left) and friend Cory Davis (not in picture), have been busy getting Bobs new 72 Vega ready for the 2002 season. They are currently in the process of back-halving it, which will include a 9" Ford. Power will come from a SBC. The planned debut is the Winter Classic.

Sometimes PIR racer Ron Folck sent in this shot of his Datsun 1200. I presume this means we can look forward to seeing more of Ron and "Drag racing's toughest little car" in 2002.

Gary Ericksen's new Ford Probe in its early construction stages. You can bet this will be a sweetie when Gary gets 'er finished.

How do you improve an already great car? You build another! Here we get a glimpse of the all new LeMans being built by Shane Molinari. To be Pontiac powered of course. Hopefully, the new version will still provide those wheels (way) up launches. Rumor has Andy Tabor as the shoe for the "old" car.
