Here is a tidbit of how things went in Mission.

Thursday, beautiful weather. Time trials and arrivals

Friday, Nice day. Rain late. Had to call off the event before the eliminations of

the Gamblers Race. Johdi Masterman and Rick Sutton qualified for Sportsman.

John Masterman for Pro. The track had do divie up the monies between the

qualified participants.

Saturday, Race of Champions. See actual results below. Adam Tabor took High

School Champion for Division 6. Congratulations Adam, You Rule.. Feeling

proud!!

Sunday, Got a late start due to rain. Ran the until 8:30 when the decision to end it

for safety reasons Finished up MX and Sportsman that night. Johdi Masterman won

again for the Package Attack. Good job Johdi....

Monday, Wind then Rain. ALL DAY LONG!!!! Had a window of opportunity that

allowed the track to be dried and prepped to the point that we were ready for the

call. Then rain that would not relent. The event was called at 4pm. The remaining

participants were told that there was a window Tuesday morning where they would

complete the remaining rounds. Many of the racers opted to go home because of the

hardship it put on their families and jobs.

Tuesday morning dawned a dry day. Pete and I watched on the web cam as the

competitors came to the line in pairs. We had to agonize after each round as to who

made through to the next.

Pro, Corey Seekins won his first round only to meet the dissapointment of a painful

red. Good job Corey....You represented well.

Super Pro came to the line and we watched to see how many pairs remained for

Tuesday's competition. 12 out of the 19 that were left as we counted each come to

the line. Here came Gary Ericksen, Nick Nicholson, Tim Schillereff "congrats

Tim for showing the slicks to the competion" and Dave Smythe. Semi's came, Gary

and Loretta McCool, Nick and Tim. Then the next round here comes Loretta and

Tim. Wow Tim great job. YOU ROCK!!!!!!!

Special thanks to all the families and friends that help to keep things going and cheer

Congratulations to all Team Portland participants who gave it

their all, and deserve the team championship and would have

surely taken it had Mother Nature not given us such a hard time.

agonize over the decisions to stay or go home Sunday evening.
