In addition, Portland International Raceway is used for:

Police driver training, commercial photography sessions (including television) and driving schools. PIR is also used by auto manufactures for new car demonstrations and testing. And of course for the Festival of Lights show during the holiday season.

 Over the years, PIR has also been used for:

Off road four wheel drive races, mini bike races, concerts, roller blading and more. One proposed idea that never materialized was boat drag races in the slough.
