AHRA ET BRACKETS

ET bracket racing was a part of the program at all the major drag race events. Fitting in AHRA's "E.T. Stock" category, bracket cars ran in either A, B or C bracket. All AHRA classes utilized the single amber, .500 "Pro" tree as seen above. In this 1981 photo, that's Pat Figini in the Mustang and your author in the Olds. And I do believe that is Ray Rice (father of current NHRA Division 6 director Mike Rice) handling the starting line duties.
